 Welcome to SUNY Geneseo's web developer help page. This site is designed to aid you in creating your campus web page. Whether you are faculty or a student the following information will cover what you need to know. Here at SUNY Geneseo we use Macromedia® Dreamweaver® (version 4.0) for most of our development needs. You can purchase Macromedia® Dreamweaver® or download a demo at: http://www.macromedia.com/software/dreamweaver/download/ To continue with this overview you'll need to have either a Mac or PC with Macromedia® Dreamweaver® 4.0 installed. If you have a previous version of Dreamweaver® installed on your machine, there may be some small differences in the methods and procedures outlined in this tutorial; the basic concepts, however, are still the same. Note: For information about Macromedia® Dreamweaver® not covered in this overview please visit the "help" option of Macromedia® Dreamweaver's® menu bar, or visit their web site at www.macromedia.com. Also, Macromedia® Dreamweaver® is not the only web development tool. If you are familiar with other web development programs already, use the host information under the Using Macromedia® Dreamweaver® section of this overview to set up your own program.
